late 19th century, each with a shaped and padded back surmounted by a foliate shell crest, joined by scrolling and padded arms to the like seat, raised on molded cabriole legs headed by foliate carving and ending in scrolled toes.

In as found condition. The frames are tight. Some shrinkage at the joints. Scattered wear and flaking to the gold finish. The seats show considerable wear. Overall light fading and stains.
